Membership of AMUG

We are a multinational group of Mac users. We uphold all of the principles of Equal Opportunity and make no discrimination on the grounds of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender orientation or any other ground that is not mentioned here. We welcome Moroccan and expatriate Mac users alike. We do not stand on ceremony and are not a "clicky" social-position group. We do not discuss religion or politics. We don't care if you live in a cabin or a castle. We don't care who you know, how much money you have or which restaurants you go to for dinner.

We just aim to be friendly, welcoming and helpful towards each other. All we talk about in our Meetings is the Mac. Everything Macintosh. That's it.

So far, so good. If the above sounds good to you, then read on... If not, then you wouldn't like it here with us.

Membership of AMUG is free of charge. To become a Member of AMUG you must be a home owner of any Apple Macintosh computer, attend regular monthly meetings, be open to talking about the Mac and over 18.

Membership of AMUG is offered to Mac users who display a commitment to AMUG by attending and participating in our monthly meetings and have a friendly attitude towards other Mac users.

All prospective members must be in agreement with our non-Windoze discussion Policy (see below) and our Policy on Pirate Software.

We sometimes have free workshops on Adobe Photoshop™ topics for our Members - come along and learn more about using Photoshop. These workshops are a permanent feature of AMUG and take place when there are a minimum of two people who are interested.

Non-Windoze Discussion Policy

Please note that we do not discuss or allow discussion of any other operating systems or connectivity to them. Other platforms have their own User Groups - and ours is Apple Macintosh only. Windoze computers are not allowed entry.

Can Membership be withdrawn?

Only for the following reasons:

1) drunken or abusive behaviour or verbal abuse towards other Members
contrary to the principles of Equal Opportunity

We are a friendly group of Mac users and we don't want any hassle of any kind

2) any kind of use of illegal drugs on the premises

3) Exchanging or selling of Pirate Software

4) Continued discussion of Windoze

5) Breaking Ramadan on the premises

All intended members are required to complete a Membership Form. Please ask for details.
