Welcome to our Monthly Meetings in Agadir
(all meetings are in English, some French spoken)

Second Saturday of every month at 14 hrs (2pm) in Talborjt, Agadir
Meeting ends around 17.00 hrs (5pm)

Visitors to Agadir and locals all welcome

All meetings are free of charge and include a glass of mint tea and biscuits

Please bring your own Macintosh computer (desktop or laptop) if you have one -
and/or a USB flash stick

Please also bring your own mineral water and a
notepad and pen, to make your own notes during the meeting
We do not supply mineral water or writing things, so please don't forget!

We meet in central Agadir at a private home on the second Saturday of the month at 2pm (14hrs).

All Meetings are held in English. Why English? Because English is the main language of the internet and most of the accepted protocols of computer use were developed in English. All demonstrations are on Intel Macs running the latest Mac OS.

Free tea and biscuits are served during a short interval. Meetings are non-smoking but smokers may go onto the terrace during the interval (no refreshments are served or allowed to be consumed and no smoking is allowed on the terrace during the Islamic month of Ramadan, out of respect for the fact that we live in Morocco and as such are guests of SM Mohammed VI)

We do not allow the trading of pirate software at our Meetings although Members are able to buy and sell their own Mac stuff to other Members of the Group providing they have the original receipts or Apple registration email.

Important: No-Go Areas

Mobile phones must be switched OFF during all of our AMUG Meetings

We do not allow heavy social networking during our meetings. Do it outside, please.

PC salesmen are not welcome to attend our meetings (yes, we've seen it all.)

Windoze-Free Zone

We do not discuss or allow discussion of any other operating systems or connectivity to them. Other platforms have their own User Groups - and ours is Apple Macintosh only.

We refuse to give any of our Meetings time to discussion of inferior computers. Windows computers of any kind are not allowed on the premises, so please do not bring one along with you. Seriously.

All Macintosh users (including visiting tourists) in Agadir and the Souss region are very welcome to attend our monthly Meetings. Please email (address below) to let us know you will be coming. Please bring a notepad, pen and maybe a pair of babouche slippers! If you have a portable Mac (any model) then please feel free to bring it along with you.
